Music is better with emotion.
There’s a reason I make Pop music. It’s different from other music. It allows me to embed a song with powerful lyrics while still leaving it accessible to everyone. Pop music is music for the masses. It’s music that everyone can relate to. It’s music without boundaries.
My goal has always been to create music with emotion. When I write a song, I want it to be catchy. I want it to be fun to listen to. I want it to get stuck in your head. But my first priority is always emotion. I want you to feel something. Whether you’re happy or sad, on top of the world or barely hanging on, I want my music to be right there with you.
Music is better with emotion.

Dominic dives head first into original music with a 4-song collection of lyrically rich, musically captivating pop music. From the synth heavy, “I Wanna Wake Up”, to the heartfelt piano ballad, “Card Games”, Hesitate is a story of heartbreak through the lens of Dominic’s unique songwriting and production.

Dominic’s first original single, “I Wanna Wake Up”, is a song about shock and confusion. When a relationship ends suddenly with little explanation, it's difficult to understand what went wrong and how you got there. It’s overwhelming, and you wish you could just wake up because that would mean it was all just a dream. That's the feeling this song tries to identify; trying to grapple with reality.

Bio
Dominic LaRocca is an independent Pop artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and mixing/mastering engineer. Originally from Columbia, MD, he started singing at a young age before later teaching himself guitar and piano which eventually led him to start producing his own music from the ground up. With a love for Pop music, Dominic then started his own YouTube channel where he built up his production skills by creating and releasing many covers of Pop songs.
Dominic is currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston where he is majoring in both Songwriting and Music Production & Engineering. He is working as a producer, recording engineer, and mixing engineer for other artists as well as for his own music. In 2020, Dominic took the plunge into original music with “Hesitate”, his debut original EP consisting of four songs written, produced, mixed, and mastered entirely himself including music videos for the title track, “Hesitate”, and the first single, “I Wanna Wake Up”. He is currently working to prepare more original music for release later this year.
